Part Two · Squad and Games

The Game Page

Before tip-off it confirms your opponent and your plan. Afterwards it is where you review: start with the box score, then go back to the play-by-play for the swing.

5.1When games settle

Settlement

The day's fixtures settle at 10:00 UTC. Later in the day the system works through finances, the market, scouting and the rest of the daily business.

Once a game has settled you can open it for the score, individual performances, the box score and the full text play-by-play.

Before tip-off, the game page is where you confirm the opponent, home or away, and which tactic this fixture will use. After the final buzzer it is a review tool: read the box score and the minutes first, then go back into the play-by-play to understand where the game turned.

5.2Default, saved and per-game tactics

TypeHow it works
Default tacticYour club's standard plan. Any fixture you have not set up individually uses it.
Tactic slotsStorage for complete setups. Build plans in advance for particular opponents, lineups or goals, then load, edit or apply one whenever you need it instead of starting from scratch.
Per-game tacticA plan attached to a single fixture. It overrides the default for that game only, and changes neither your club default nor any other fixture.

In practice, make your default the version that best matches how your squad is built, and keep the slots for alternative styles. Reach for a per-game tactic when you need something for a specific opponent, when you want to protect a particular player, or when a playoff series calls for a change of pace.
